Cyntoia Brown was released from jail on Wednesday and will remain on parole supervision after serving 15 years in jail for killing her sex trafficker. Brown was 16-years-old when she was taken into the sex traffic trade and sentenced to 51 years in jail before becoming eligible for parole. Rihanna and Kim Kardashian campaigned for her clemency which was granted by ex-Tennessee governor Bill Haslam. Brown, now a 31-year-old, completed her GED and received an associates degree while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. She’s expected to complete her bachelor’s degree by the end of the year.
