Okay, so we all already assumed this was what was going on behind the Apple doors up in Southern California ... somewhere near the Google and Facebook headquarters in Palo Alto ( or somewhere really close to it.)
I KNEW it!!!!! 🧐 iPhone 7 till I die. https://t.co/2olpJgAjAf— Brendan Schaub (@BrendanSchaub) December 20, 2017
Apple deliberately slows down our old iPhones and they admit it! I mean it makes sense why they would do that (business strategy, of course)... but it sucks for the customers who have to pay more money to fix their battery life or to get a new phone. Check out the CPU Frequency below.
So it's true Apple intentionally slow down old iPhones. Proof: My iPhone 6 was bought 3years ago and recently got really slow. APP 'CPU DasherX' shows iPhone CPU is under clocked running at 600MHz. After a iPhone battery replacement. CPU speed resumed to factory setting 1400MHz. pic.twitter.com/pML3y0Jkp2— Sam_Si (@sam_siruomu) December 20, 2017
Come on Apple! I'm not saying I'm going to stop buying your products.. because that would be the biggest lie ever... but come on!
