Tekashi 6ix9ine is losing some big bucks.
TMZ has learned that Tekashi 6ix9ine stands to lose his $4.9 million headphone deal signed last month. The NY rapper netted a contract for exclusive TUNES Headphones, a product line for TUNES Audio.
The deal was contingent on Tekashi appearing as one of the brand's exclusive spokespeople. According to reps for the company, Tekashi 6ix9ine involvement in last Saturday's Barclays Center shooting was enough to raise bells.
The details of the out-clause are unclear but officials have made it clear where their decision lied: "at this time it is in the best interest of our company to move on. We wish him well, he's a great artist." The company is still partnered with Blac Chyna in some capacity. She has a serious pledge on Instagram, offering her fans an exclusive sale price of "$19.99" for her signature line of Headphones.
Tekashi's exclusive red colorway has already been put into production. TUNES Audio will make $1 million worth of his model available for free when the purchase code "RED" is entered. Shipping and handling fees still apply. TUNES wanted a celebrity at the centre of a media frenzy, and couldn't handle his frenetic pace. Both parties will get over the hiccup. Business is business after all.
