What's RIGHT With Hip Hop: French Montana Is Truly Unforgettable!

There's a lot of charitable acts that truly go unnoticed in the world of hip hop. Just a few weeks ago French dropped one of my favorite tracks right now, "Unforgettable" featuring Swae Lee. "Unforgettable" is truly a feel good song that makes you want to vibe and dance but there's a lot more than meets the eyes and ears. French highlighted the youth of Uganda in hopes to bring awareness, "I feel like when you do stuff like that, the energy gives off of it itself," he says. "Us taking 30-hour trips over there, helping kids and using a platform that I got to showcase these kids talents from the dancing to the ambition to the hunger, I felt like everything came together."

Not just that but French also donated $100,000 and dedicated his Unforgettable Dance Challenge to the Mama Hope organization, that supports global entrepreneurship to help extreme poverty. French was moved after he heard through a friend about Mama Hope, he went and met the women and children at the Suubi Center and knew he had to help. "I feel like sometimes God puts you in a platform where you're supposed to help other people," French Montana tells Billboard. All of the funds raised will go towards building the Suubi Health Center and funding local blood banks in Uganda. "With having gone through living in poverty and being happy with nothing, they channel that through their dance moves and their energy," continues French, who was raised in a village for 13 years in Morocco. And that's what's right with hip hop, big up French!
