“I will be picking up all of Tip’s shows that he ain’t going to," said Young Dro, who was with Tip when he made the announcement. "Doing them all.”

Tip's recent announcement comes as the Grand Hustle founder prepares to retire from the rap game. Almost a year ago to the day, the veteran MC first announced his plans to quit rapping during his appearance on the We In Miami podcast. During that conversation, Tip revealed his final project will be a double-disc album called Kill The King and Kiss The King.

At the time, he said that the album's lead single would be his collaboration with YoungBoy Never Broke Again called "LLOGCLAY," which dropped earlier this year. Since then, Tip dropped his other single "Thank God" featuring the Sunday Service Choir, Kirk Franklin and Young Dro. However, the official plans for his last album have not been confirmed.

“It’s time to evolve beyond a career as a rapper,” Tip said. "I think it's a lot more people who are carrying the torch and pushing the culture forward."

T.I. is right about one thing: he definitely doesn't need the money. Tip and his wife Tameka "Tiny" Harris recently earned $71 million after they won a lawsuit against toymaker MGA after they reportedly released a line of “O.M.G.” dolls based on Tiny's teen pop group OMG Girlz. The dolls looked exactly like the couple's daughter Zonnique “Star” Pullins and her two bandmates. The earnings from that case alone is enough for anyone to retire peacefully.
