Usher is back in the studio, and he's showing off his version of Drake and Loe Shimmy's recent hit.
In a video he shared on Instagram on Tuesday, November 3, the Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter previewed some tour merch while playing his brand-new remix of Drake's "I'm Spent" featuring Loe Shimmy. Usher adds his vocals to the standout from Drizzy's HABIBTI album and even teases what he's been cooking up lately.
“All I was tryna do was spazz out on this remix/Got so many hits I damn near almost forget," Usher croons on the track.
"That’s why I’m doing something new," he continues. "It’s gon’ be some s**t on there that you can f**k to/It’s gonna be some s**t on there to make love to too."
Loe Shimmy hopped in the comments and gave his seal of approval on the remix, but no word from Drake yet. As of this report, there's no release date for the remix.
Usher has clearly been working hard in the studio in between his joint tour with Chris Brown. The hit-making duo has been traveling to cities across the U.S. and Canada as part of their "R&B Tour." The tour has been full of shocking moments since it kicked off over the summer. Chris and Usher have brought out several surprise guests in various states, including Lil Baby, Future, 50 Cent, Nelly, Ashanti, Jadakiss, Fat Joe, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, Mary J. Blige, Method Man, Snoop Dogg, Ye, and more.
Chris and Usher recently added more dates to their highly successful tour, which has already generated over $100 million. They're currently preparing to invade Atlanta for five nights at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The tour will wrap up in Tampa on December 12.
