New information has surfaced regarding the arrest of Jed York, the owner of the San Francisco 49ers, in East Palestine, Ohio. York, 46, was initially charged with engaging in prostitution after responding to an ad on a known prostitution website. However, on Monday (August 24), the charge was amended to disorderly conduct, to which York pleaded no contest. He was also charged with possessing criminal tools.
York was arrested at the Wheat Hill Mobile Home Community and posted a $5,000 bond following his arrest on Sunday (August 23). According to court records, he was sentenced to two days in jail, credited for time served, and fined $1,150. Additionally, $160 seized during the arrest was forfeited to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force.
The NFL may impose disciplinary action on York for violating the league's personal conduct policy. York has been the 49ers' principal owner since 2024 and has served as the team's CEO since 2008. The league's policy applies to all personnel, not just players.
