Nicole Scherzinger is reportedly dejected about the Pussycat Dolls canceling the majority of their planned reunion tour in the U.S.
"Nicole is disappointed," a source told Us Weekly on Wednesday (May 13). "She was really excited to get back out there to celebrate a new era, but now she feels they didn't get a chance to showcase what they can do."
The Tony Award-winner was slated to tour the nation alongside bandmates Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Roberts. According to the source, the "Buttons" singers overestimated ticket demand for their shows.
"They went from not touring for over 15 years to booking big arenas like Madison Square Garden," the insider told the outlet. "They overestimated the demand."
On Tuesday, May 4, the "Don't Cha" hitmakers shared a message on the group's Instagram page, confirming that they will only perform in the U.S. at the Out Loud Music Festival at WeHo Pride in Los Angeles on June 6. After, they will tour the U.K. and Europe, as originally planned.
"Nicole is trying to look on the bright side because the Dolls are still proceeding with their European dates, which she's beyond excited about," the source added.
