Ice-T opened up about the sweet moment he shared with fellow West Coast rapper 2Pac, 30 years after the two shared the stage together.
In May 1996, the Law & Order actor and late iconic rapper performed an unlikely Barbra Streisand duet, "You Don't Bring Me Flowers," on the short-lived comedy show Saturday Night Special.
"That rare 2Pac & Ice-T moment on stage together," the "Colors" rapper wrote on X (formerly Twitter). "30 years ago 2Pac shared a surprisingly tender (and funny) duet cover of Barbra Streisand. Pac trying not to laugh makes it even better. Pure iconic, lighthearted energy." Watch the clip here.
In 2021, Ice-T got candid on his relationship with the "Changes" musician, who was 13 years younger than him.
"I knew Pac ever since he was in Digital Underground and as he moved up in the gangsta rap ranks, of course, I worked with him," he revealed during an appearance on the Holdin' Court podcast at the time. "But I was not a fan of Pac hanging around L.A. gang bangers. I just worried about Pac. I'd tell people, 'I'm angry with Pac,' like that's my kid. He's like a little brother. My job, as an OG, was to give him a little guidance."
2Pac, born Tupac Shakur, died in September 1996 at the age of 25, six days after being shot in a drive-by shooting.
