Kodak Black caught a whole new case after he was arrested in Florida for allegedly trafficking drugs.

The 28-year-old artist, legally known as Bill Kapri, was booked into the Orange County Corrections Department on Thursday, May 7, for allegedly trafficking METHYLE.-METH (MDMA). According to The Breakfast Club's Loren LoRosa, his attorney, Bradford Cohen, said Kodak Black voluntarily surrendered himself to authorities last night in connection with an interaction with Orange County police officers in November 2025. During the run-in, police pulled up to two vehicles that smelled like weed. Kodak was not in the cars, but he was in the area because he was with the people driving the cars.

Following a search of both cars, police found drugs in one of the vehicles. They also discovered two bags next to a passenger in the other car. One bag contained Kodak's ID card and a bottle of cough syrup. Police had the bottle tested, and they allege that the fingerprints matched the rapper.

Cohen says the case is "weak" because Kodak Black wasn't in the car when the police searched it, and he didn't possess the bottle of cough syrup when it was discovered. It's illegal to possess the bottle, but he argues it's not illegal to touch it.

"We look forward to yet another fruitful resolution to another case that should have never been filed," Cohen told TMZ.

Kodak Black turned himself in last night after he heard that police planned to arrest him. He plans to bail out of jail before the weekend. This isn't the first time Kodak Black has been arrested. He's had several run-ins with police over the years. He was previously incarcerated on a firearm charge until he was pardoned by President Donald Trump in 2021.
