Cardi B is demanding Tasha K fork over millions after the blogger allegedly violated the terms of their settlement.
According to a report TMZ published on Monday, May 4, the Grammy Award-winning rapper took the controversial YouTuber back to court for allegedly breaking the terms of an agreement they reached last year. As part of her bankruptcy plan, Tasha K agreed to a non-disparagement clause that bars her from speaking about Cardi, her family, and associates, including her exes Offset and Stefon Diggs. The "Bodega Baddie" rapper alleges Tasha K violated the agreement by speaking about Offset's recent shooting and hospitalization.
Cardi's lawyer, Lisa Moore, accused Tasha K of a “relentless course of conduct designed to target and harass [Cardi] and her family through thinly veiled commentary and strategic provocation all while knowing that her audience of over one million social media followers will immediately identify [Cardi] as the subject.” The rapper's legal team previously said every time they inform Tasha that her posts violate the terms of their deal, she quickly deletes them and then makes others.
Tasha K was found liable for defaming Cardi B and was ordered to pay the artist $4 million. When the blogger filed for bankruptcy last year, Cardi B and Tasha K's legal teams worked out a deal to bring her debt down to $1.2 million. The deal required the blogger to make monthly payments to Cardi and follow the non-disparagement clause.
The rapper's legal team alleged that Tasha K committed at least 25 violations between talking about Offset and her other baby daddy Stefon Diggs. Now they are seeking the entire $3.9 million from the original judgment payment plus sanctions and attorney's fees.
