Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson have broken up after the rapper called him out for allegedly cheating on her.
On Saturday, April 25, the Houston native hopped on her Instagram Story and put her now-ex boyfriend on blast. In her post, she accused the NBA star of cheating and claimed he got "cold feet" about settling down with her.
"Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season now you don't know if you can be 'monogamous'????" she wrote. "B***h I eed a REAL break after this one .. bye yall."
Megan Thee Stallion later confirmed she broke up with Klay Thompson. In a statement she provided to TMZ, Meg said, "I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay. Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.
The couple confirmed their relationship after Thompson was caught in the background of photos that Meg posted to social media last year. After that, Meg and Klay had fun on Instagram and attended events together, including the inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City. She also got Bone Thugs-N-Harmony to perform live at his private birthday in February.
Hours after announcing the breakup, Megan Thee Stallion hit the stage at her scheduled appearance in the "Moulin Rouge" Broadway play. In a video posted online, the "Savage" rapper got a little choked up and emotional toward the end of the show. Fans erupted into applause and cheers as they encouraged her to make it through her lines. Check out the video below.
