Offset was shot in the leg on a Monday and was back on stage by Friday. Now the former Migos rapper is explaining how he bounced back so quickly.

Offset sat down with Creators Inc host Andy Bachman just days after the 34-year-old artist was shot during a fight outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. At the beginning of the episode, which dropped on Thursday, April 23, 'Set explained how he managed to go from a hospital bed in Florida to his scheduled performance in Alabama to Los Angeles in such a short time.

“Gotta keep pushing, like the Energizer Bunny, man,” he said. “Keep this s**t pushing. We don’t got time to be slowing down.”

Offset explained that he requested a bed on the G5 private jet he flew on and slept for six hours. He later spoke on the shooting and said he was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

“But we here, man. I’m pushing,” he added. “At the end of the day, the grind don’t stop. I don’t want nobody to feel sorry for me, or no shit like that. People get shot every day, bro.”

Offset was shot after a gang of men, allegedly led by Lil Tjay, approached and attacked him in the valet area of the casino in Hollywood, Fla. He was taken to a hospital to treat his injuries. Tjay and another man were arrested, but the Federal Bureau of Investigation is still on the hunt for the man who fired the gun and his associates. In a letter to his fans, Offset said he recovered and thanked them for their support before he hit the stage for the first time during his headlining performance at a music festival in Alabama.

He also revealed that he flew to L.A. to start working on his upcoming album. He said he made some new tracks, but also had to take off some songs because his albums are inspired by "life experiences." He doesn't have a release date yet, but indicated that he wants to drop it soon.
