Bay Smokes, the marijuana company that Lil Baby's company sued a few weeks ago, has responded to the allegations in the lawsuit.

The Florida-based weed brand was named in a lawsuit filed by The Holding Company, LLC, earlier this month. In the legal complaint, Wham's company accused Bay Smokes of using illegal cannabis products instead of the legal hemp they agreed on for their collaboration. After testing the products at a lab, Lil Baby's company discovered the items contained traces of E. coli, yeast, and mold “at levels too numerous to count.” Bay Smokes denies the allegations and claims they are "wholly without merit."

"Bay Smokes denies the allegations asserted in The Holding Company’s complaint, which are wholly without merit, and intends to pursue counterclaims against The Holding Company," the weed brand says in a statement to iHeartRadio. "We stand by the quality and legality of all of our hemp products, which undergo independent third-party laboratory testing."

Lil Baby and Bay Smokes agreed to collaborate on a collection of legal hemp products. Shortly after the collab went live, Lil Baby's company sent some of Bay Smokes' products from their collaboration to a lab to have them tested. The results found that the items “failed microbial safety testing and contained over 22% of total THC." Not only is Bay Smokes denying the findings of the tests, but the brand is also planning to file a countersuit against the Atlanta rapper's company.

"We look forward to defending ourselves in the appropriate forum and are confident we will be fully vindicated," the company concludes. "We remain committed to our partners and customers, and we will not be commenting further on any pending litigation."

As of this report, Lil Baby himself has not publicly commented about the situation.
