First Lady Melania Trump gave a rare public statement denying speculation that she and President Donald Trump were introduced by Jeffrey Epstein, nor was she a victim of the sex trafficking committed by the late convicted pedophile.
‘I am not Epstein’s victim,” she told reporters via the New York Post. “Epstein did not introduce me to Donald Trump.”
The first lady claimed images and stories alleging she was linked to Epstein prior to her relationship with the president were fraudulent and she had no knowledge of Epstein's abuse prior to him being charged.
“I have never had any knowledge of Epstein’s abuse of his victims, I was never involved in any capacity. I was not a participant, was never on Epstein’s plane, and never visited his private island,” Trump said via the New York Post.
The United States Department of Justice released three previously withheld FBI interview reports from the Epstein files in which a woman made uncorroborated allegations against President Trump last month, claiming he sexually abused her when she was a minor in the 1980s, which the department said were mistakenly withheld during an earlier review. Previously released Epstein documents confirmed that President Trump flew on the late convicted pedophile's private jet at least eight times during the mid-1990s.
Trump, who claimed to have a fallout with Epstein years before the financier's charges, has denied any wrongdoing nor has ever been charged in connection with the late convicted pedophile.
