Lil Tjay has been accused of initiating a fight with Offset that prompted one of his associates to open fire at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
According to a report TMZ published on Tuesday, April 7, officers from the Seminole Police Department claim they've reviewed security footage showing the New York rapper jumping out of his car and pointing at Offset. They say Tjay "directed members of his party to start a fight with another group of males" at the hotel lobby's valet area. After Tjay led his team over to Offset, both sides began fighting each other until cops arrived.
Police say Tjay recorded the entire incident on his phone. During the scuffle, someone from Tjay's crew pulled out a gun and shot Offset. The former Migos rapper suffered a non-life-threatening injury to the leg. He was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood for treatment. Offset's rep said he's fine and is recovering in the hospital. During his recovery, TMZ caught 'Set found outside of the medical center having a smoke break.
“We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care,” Offset's rep said in a statement. “He is stable and being closely monitored.”
Lil Tjay was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. He bonded out of the Broward County main jail in Fort Lauderdale and immediately called Offset a "rat." He also denied the allegations against him and maintained that Offset didn't touch him. Shortly after his comments spread, the Atlanta rapper responded in the comment section of The Shade Room Teens' post about the situation.
"U ain't buss nun," Offset wrote.
Lil Tjay's associate was also arrested following the fight. As of this report, police are still looking into others who were involved in the altercation.
