Looks like 50 Cent's $75 million-dollar deal with Hulu was not a joke after all.

On Tuesday, April 7, the seasoned rapper and filmmaker confirmed he inked the multimillion-dollar deal with the streaming service to release a three-part documentary about his life. According to Deadline, the documentary will cover Fif's come-up as a rising hustler in Queens, N.Y., and the infamous shooting that changed his life. It will also go in-depth on the early beginnings of his successful music career and how he evolved into the prominent entrepreneur he is today.

"Positive vibes 💰 focus on the win QGTM," he said after announcing the documentary.

50 Cent, born Curtis Jackson, originally announced the deal on April 1. In a social post, he claimed Hulu won a bidding war for the documentary after competing against other platforms like Netflix, Starz, and Apple. Fans weren't immediately convinced, especially since he announced it on April Fools Day. Now that it's confirmed, fans expressed their excitement about the doc.

The "Power" creator is working with experienced filmmaker Mandon Lovett to direct the documentary. Lovett previously directed Paramount+’s For Khadija: The French Montana Story, Origins of Hip-Hop and Hulu’s Rap Caviar Presents. Fif's production company, G-Unit Films & Television, and The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC) will produce the program. Jackson will also serve as executive producer alongside Lovett and IPC’s Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman.

As of this report, a release date for the documentary has not been revealed.
