You won't be able to "forget" this epic return!

CeeLo Green opened up about his return to The Voice as a season 29 mega mentor, as well as the official judge for its new All-Star competition.

The "Forget You" singer, 50, admitted that it felt like no time had passed after returning to the hit music competition.

"It felt wonderfully surreal!" the "Crazy" singer told PEOPLE after the episode's filming. "It's like Groundhog Day; like a day hadn't gone by and time stood still here. The people are just as genuine, just as devoted, just as committed to craft and to industry professionals. I want to be in that environment. That's my village."

During the show's debut season, the Gnarls Barkley frontman starred as a coach, alongside Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and Levine. While he only went on to coach seasons 2, 3 and 5, the "Forget You" singer revealed that he would love to return to the show as a full-time coach.

"If they would have me back, I would definitely come back," the musician admitted. "I would be walking away from a lot because I don't consider touring and performing every day a real job. It's a passion play."

The All-Star competition, which ended on Monday (April 6), saw coaches Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine and John Legend bringing back two artists of their choice to compete on the show once more. Ultimately, Green chose Girl Named Tom as his All-Star winner.
