Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry is reportedly expected to be cleared to return for Sunday's (April 5) game against the Houston Rockets after missing 27 consecutive games in more than two months of play due to a knee injury, sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to ESPN's Shams Charania and Anthony Slater on Friday (April 3).

"Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is expected to be cleared to return on Sunday against the Houston Rockets after missing over two months and 27 consecutive games due to a persistent knee injury, sources tell me and @anthonyVslater," Charania wrote on his X account.

Curry, 38, was averaging 27.2 points, 4.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 39 games prior to his injury, making his last appearance in the Warriors' 131-124 loss to the Detroit Pistons, which saw him score 23 points, shooting 7 of 16 from the field and 4 of 10 on 3-point attempts, while also recording two assists and one rebound, in 25 minutes played. Golden State has clinched a play-in spot, currently holding the 10th and final seed, at 36-41 with five games remaining.

The Warriors will host the Houston Rockets on Sunday before two home games against the Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Lakers, followed by two road games against the Kings and Los Angeles Clippers to end the regular season.
