Tony Sunshine has teamed up with Lil Pump for a collaboration that merges both generations into one nostalgic track.

On Friday, March 27, the Terror Squad artist delivered his new single "Pump It Up" featuring Lil Pump. Tony Sunshine and the Miami native put their own spin on the bass-heavy instrumental produced by Sami Toussi and Elie Neufeld. In an interview with 103.5 The Beat's Papa Keith, the New York rapper-singer said the song originally sampled Technotronic's 1989 hit "Pump Up The Jam." After the sample didn't clear in time, Tony said he decided to interpolate the infamous hook himself and let Pump do what he wanted to the record.

"We both go to the same gym. My trainer is Pump's trainer," Tony Sunshine explained. "Shout out to Elie. He's a good guy. He owns Rule Fitness. Elie dibbles and dabbles in production and he's got a good ear for music. He comes to me one day and tells me he's got this beat. So we go to the studio and I lay the hook and a verse and give it to him. He turns around and gives the same beat to Pump. Pump goes to the studio and lays his verse. Elie comes back and gives me Pump's verse and tells me, 'What do you think of this verse?' So I took it to the studio. I put Pump's verse with my verse and hook, and we formatted the situation and it sound good."

"Pump It Up" is Tony Sunshine's first single of 2026. The seasoned artist has dropped several solo singles over the years, from his "What Did I Miss (Freestyle)" to his recent Spanish track "Imaginate." He also continues to link up with esteemed Hip-Hop artists like Statik Selektah, who recruited him for his track "Let Me Know" off his and Bun B's TrillStatik 5, and Fat Joe. Joey Crack featured Sunshine on his last album, The World Changed On Me, in 2024.
