FBI agents in Tennessee infiltrated the home of rapper Pooh Shiesty's family to execute a search warrant.
At 6 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, neighbors were awakened by the sounds of flash bangs that federal agents used upon entering the home in Cordova, just east of Memphis. The house is listed under the name Lontrell Williams, which is the birth name of Pooh Shiesty and his father. It's not clear why the FBI sought after a search and arrest warrant at the rapper's family home. As of this report, no arrests have been made. Neither Pooh Shiesty nor his family have commented on the situation.
This is the first legal issue the "Back In Blood" rapper has faced since he was released from a Pennsylvania prison last year. Pooh Shiesty spent three out of his five-year sentence behind bars for charges that stem from two shootings that happened in Miami in October 2020 and June 2021. After he was arrested for the second shooting, the 1017 signee was indicted on federal charges, including conspiracy to possess firearms in furtherance of violent crime, Hobbs Act robbery conspiracy, and discharging a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.
Pooh Shiesty originally faced up to eight years in prison, but he was sentenced to five years and three months back in 2022. He received credit for time served after he pleaded guilty to the firearm conspiracy charge.
