Desiigner has been taken into custody after he was accused of getting into a physical altercation with his child's mother.
According to a report TMZ published on Wednesday, March 25, the Horry County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina arrested the "Timmy Turner" rapper earlier this week on suspicion of 3rd-degree domestic violence. Police allege Desiigner, born Sidney Royel Selby III, was involved in a domestic incident that left the mother of his child injured and shaken. In a police report, the alleged victim said everything started after the 28-year-old artist came home angry on March 2.
The woman claimed Selby grabbed her as she tried to leave their home to pick up luggage she accidentally left at the airport. That's when he ripped her keys away from her and tore her sweatpants. She accused Selby of throwing her to the ground after she tried to stop him from placing their young baby in a car seat. The child didn't see any of the violent acts happen in real time. Still, the mother was left with minor scratches on her arm and lower back.
Police were called to the home, but Selby had cleared out before they arrived. He was arrested three weeks later and released on a $1,500 bond. The report doesn't reveal the name of the alleged victim. However, Selby recently welcomed his new son with girlfriend Joyce Bryant.
This is the second time in three years that Desiigner has dealt with legal issues. In 2023, he was charged with indecent exposure after he allegedly masturbated in front of a flight attendant on a plane. He was sentenced to two years of probation, ordered to pay a $5,000 fine, and forced to work 120 hours of community service.
