Charlamagne Tha God felt some type of way after Jack Harlow said he "got Blacker" on his new album.

Jack Harlow's new album, Monica, strays away from the traditional Hip-Hop vibes he is known for and treks more down the R&B/soul lane. Soon after the project dropped on Friday, March 13, the Louisville native told the hosts of Popcast that he "got Blacker" on this project instead of going down a pop or country route like other White rap artists have done in the past. While on The Breakfast Club on Monday, March 16, Charlamagne Tha God said Harlow actually did the opposite.

โ€œLet me tell you something. I like Jack Harlow. I've met Jack Harlow. We've interviewed Jack Harlow. Jack is a nice guy,โ€ Charlamagne said. โ€œBut I told y'all on Friday that this album made him whiter. And saying the music made you Blacker is exactly why I said this album made him whiter.โ€

Harlow doesn't have any features on the album, but he did enlist numerous Black and Brown artists to contribute to his latest body of work. Singer Ravyn Lenae added her vocals to songs like "Prague," "My Winter," and "All Of My Friends." Other vocalists, like R&B singer Jermaine Paul and multifaceted artist Omar Apollo, also contributed their expertise to the project. Grammy Award-winning musician Robert Glasper rounds out the project by hopping on the piano for the closing track, "Say Hello."

Fans and critics alike seemed to echo Charlamagne's sentiments. People weighed in on Harlow's new sound and created a running joke that turned Harlow into the white version of Hip-Hop/R&B acts like "White Thought," "Musiq Snowchild," "Mos Def-initely Not," "Un-Common" and more. Other hilarious nicknames include "Honkey! Honki! Honkรฉ!," "LL Coolwhip," and "Ghostface Vanillah."
