The Green Bay Packers are reportedly trading edge rusher Rashan Gary to the Dallas Cowboys, sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport on Monday (March 9).

"The #Cowboys are deep in talks on a deal for #Packers standout edge Rashan Gary, sources tell me and @TomPelissero. The former first-round edge could land in Dallas," Rapoport wrote on his X account. "Specifically: It’s a 2027 4th rounder for Gary."

Gary spent his first eight NFL seasons with the Packers, having been selected No. 12 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft. The former University of Michigan standout was a Pro Bowler in 2024, matching career-best totals for combined tackles (47) and assisted tackles (21).

Gary shared a since-deleted post on his social media accounts saying goodbye to the Packers on Friday (March 6) and later claimed he had been hacked.

"When I got the call in 2019, it was one of the greatest moments of my life, and it always will be. The opportunity to represent Green Bay and Packers Nation across the country and around the world is something I will never forget," Gary wrote at the time via NFL.com. "Like all chapters in life, this one has come to an end. I want to thank everyone who supported me and my family throughout the years. The love, the energy, and the memories mean more than words can explain. On to my next stop nowhere near done yet."
