Authorities in Los Angeles have identified the woman who opened fire at Rihanna's home.

According to a report TMZ published on Monday, March 9, police arrested Ivana Lisette Ortiz on an attempted murder charge. The 35-year-old woman is still in custody with a bail set at $10,225,000. Ortiz was arrested after she drove her Tesla to Rihanna's home and used an AR-15 to fire four rounds of bullets at the property while the singer was inside. The incident happened around 1:15 p.m. on Sunday in the Beverly Crest area, which is an upscale neighborhood located about 20 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles.

Police taped off the block where Rihanna and A$AP Rocky's home is located and identified what appeared to be several bullet holes in the front gate. Although Rihanna was inside at the time of the shooting, it's not clear if Rocky or her three children were with her. As of this report, neither Rihanna nor Rocky has commented on the situation.

There's no known motive for the incident. However, people online have already claimed to have found Ortiz's Facebook page. The alleged page has the same name as the shooter and even has some disturbing posts aimed at Rihanna. In addition, Internet sleuths allege Ortiz has been arrested three separate times in Florida. In one instance, Ortiz was reportedly apprehended in 2023 on domestic violence charges.
