Ray J's eye-popping performance on Valentine's Day raised a lot of questions about his health, but his manager says his bloody antics were all part of his act.

The "Wait A Minute" singer shocked fans over the weekend when he hit the stage while blood dripped from his eyes. Once he removed his orange shirt, Ray J revealed what seemed to be a heart monitor attached to his chest. In a statement shared with People on Tuesday, February 17, Ray's manager Melinda Santiago acknowledged the artist's health issues but essentially said the show must go on.

"We all know that Ray J has been under the weather, but all my artists that work with me gotta do their job whether they are bleeding or not," she said.

Santiago previously posted a photo of Ray J following the show, which shows that he's doing just fine. Ray appeared to echo her sentiment. The 45-year-old artist shared a photo of himself in front of a black SUV with Santiago sitting in the front with her face covered. "WHAT MELINDA SAYS GOES 🩸" Ray wrote in his caption. "Certain s**t is out of my control!! - It’s deeper than yall think!! - rap or singing! - It’s not a game! - Dead homiez! - told yall before but yall don’t give a F about what im saying."

Ray J's stunning appearance at his recent show happened a few weeks after his doctors told him he had just months left to live. In an Instagram Live session, the seasoned singer claimed that medical professionals determined that his heart only beats at 25 percent. It's part of a pattern of heart issues he's experienced over the past month.

At the beginning of January, Ray J was admitted to a medical center in Las Vegas over a severe case of pneumonia. He had several tests done, including X-rays and an echocardiogram. At one point during his livestream, he said the right side of his heart was black. He also reflected on all the drugs and alcohol he consumed, which he believes led to his medical issues.

"2027 is going to be a wrap for me," the R&B singer revealed during his livestream. "That's what the doctors said.. I shouldn’t have went this hard, bro. I shouldn’t have went that hard. And then, when it’s all done, burn me. Don’t bury me.”

Despite worrying more fans with his stunning performance, Ray J hasn't provided a complete update on his health since his last hospital trip.
