Ja Rule may have apologized for his behavior on a flight with Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda, but that's doesn't mean their long-standing beef will end any time soon.

TMZ caught up with the Long Island native while he was walking around in New York City on Tuesday, February 17. The outlet asked him why he decided to take responsibility for the dispute that happened between him and the G-Unit rappers on a plane in San Francisco. He said he's a "grown man," but immediately dismissed any chances of peace between 50 Cent and his homies.

"Here's the reality. Sometimes, in life, people have enemies, and that's ok," Ja said. "Everybody can't be friends. But what I'm saying is, we don't also have to be at war. So there's room for us to be not friends and also not be at war, and that's where I'm at right now."

Ja Rule and 50 Cent's beef runs deep, but the "Always On Time" rapper's issues with Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda started last week. Ja had just boarded a flight from San Francisco to New York City when he got into a verbal argument with the two G-Unit artists. According to Tony Yayo, Ja Rule tried to make small talk before he sat in the row in front of him and Murda. After Murda told him not to talk to them, tensions got the best of everyone. Yayo told Ja to "suck my d**k," which prompted the 49-year-old artist to throw a pillow at him.

"I'm not proud of my behavior, it's goofy to me," Ja told ABC News. "I'm a grown man about to be a proud grandfather and I wish that video of me wasn't out there either. I don't like people taking me out of my character so for that I apologize to my wife, family, fans, business and investment partners."

Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda shared their side of the story during an episode of their new podcast, The Real Report. They said someone tipped them off that Ja would be on the flight, but were stunned when he sat down right in front of them. You can hear their full story here.
