Three Americans qualified for the free skate final and multiple events were postponed due to inclement weather during the 11th day of the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics on Tuesday (February 17).

Alysa Liu currently ranks third among the field, with teammates Isabeau Levito in eighth and Amber Glenn in 13th. Liu, 20, skated to Promise by Laufey during her short program to score 76.59 points.

“I do wish I was out there longer just to take in the moment some more," Liu told NBC Sports' Andrea Joyce after her performance. "It was a great feeling."

Glenn, who entered as a favorite to podium, planned a triple loop, but only completed a double, during her short program run.

Japan's Ami Nakai took the lead with a 78.71-point performance, while teammate Kaori Sakamoto placed second with a score of 77.23. Nakai, 17, landed a triple Axel during her performance and credited the American skaters for challenging her.

"The Americans push me with their difficult jumps, including the triple Axel," she said via NBC Sports. "But at the same time, they're all very nice people, so I just want to enjoy my time with them on the ice."

The women's snowboarding slopestyle final and both the men's and women's freeski aerials were postponed due to inclement weather in Livigno on Tuesday. Snow showers included winds estimated to be around 10 MPH, reducing visibility for the athletes.

“It’s been snowing crazy amounts up here. This is the most snow I’ve seen all winter, which is actually kind of nice,” said American freestyle skier Birk Irving via CNN. “But, yeah, we had our first training last night, and (the course) was definitely a little slow and blustering but it was good.”
