Ray J has given fans an update following his hospitalization earlier this month.
In a video he shared on Sunday, January 25, the "Wait A Minute" singer thanked fans for their prayers after he spent some time at a hospital in Las Vegas due to a case of pneumonia and heart pains. Although he seemed to be alive and well, Ray J revealed that his heart is only beating at 25 percent.
"My heart's only beating like 25 percent, but as long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, then everything will be all right," he said. "So thank you for all your prayers."
Ray J was admitted to a medical center in Las Vegas at the top of January over a severe case of pneumonia. In a photo TMZ posted, you can see the RSVP singer lying down in a stretcher with his eyes closed. A source told the outlet that Ray J had X-rays and an echocardiogram done. He was awake and aware of his surroundings during his time in the hospital.
The artist was hospitalized four years after he suffered from a severe case of non-COVID pneumonia. In 2022, Ray J was placed on oxygen and had to use an inhaler. The case was so severe that he thought he was going to die, but he eventually recovered.
"I thought it was over," Ray J said at the time. "I started praying and knew God is good so I just kept praying."
We hope Ray J makes a speedy recovery.
