Layzie Bone checked Finesse2tymes real quick after the Memphis rapper crashed out over his sample dispute with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.
In a video he posted to Instagram on Friday, January 23, the "Back End" rapper sounded shocked as he tried to confront the iconic rap group over his request to sample one of their biggest hits for a new song. He alleged Bone Thugs tried to charge him $40,000 to clear a sample of "Notorious Thugs" with the late Notorious B.I.G.
"My label said y'all were trying to charge me $40,000 to clear this s**t," Finesse said into the camera.
"Young Man @finesse2tymes I like what you did to the Bone & Biggie beat but first off we don't own the song, that's Biggie song off of his album," Layzie Bone replied. "You would've had to go through Bad Boy for that clearance. Secondly I don't like n***az calling me or my brothers SKINNY 😂 ain't No checking going on over here flat out. Thirdly young man if you want to have longevity in this business like Bone slow down on them drugs and get you a team to help you understand and navigate the business. We grown and too old for drama, check yoself grasshoppers."
Finesse wasn't feeling the way Layzie responded to him. The Memphis native continued to go in on Bone Thugs in another Instagram post. "I ain't gone lie idgaf about no neck bone, back bone, kunckles cheek bone, bone of ts Nyga if it was a mistake ok cool but keep that extra shyt to yaself Or we can meet at the cross roads," he wrote. Finesse continued to berate Layzie Bone in another video he posted online. See what he had to say below.
