The Miami Dolphins are reportedly expected to hire Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley as their next head coach, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported on Monday (January 19).

"The #Dolphins have zeroed in on #Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley as their new head coach, per me and @TomPelissero. The two sides need to do a deal, and they are motivated to do so. One of most coveted candidates," Rapoport wrote on his X account. "The #Dolphins take one of the top candidates off the board."

Hafley, 46, was reportedly being considered for the Tennessee Titans, Pittsburgh Steelers and the Las Vegas Raiders' head coaching vacancies before the reported decision to join the Dolphins. The move will also reunite Hafley with general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan, who was recently hired by Miami after spending his entire career with the Packers.
