Donald Trump Jr., the son of President Donald Trump, and his girlfriend Bettina Anderson announced their engagement after one year of dating at a White House Christmas reception Monday (December 15) night.
“Not often that I’m at a loss for words, because we usually do the ranting and raving really well, but this is a little different,” Don Jr. said after he and Anderson were called up by his father to speak on their engagement in a video posted by far-right activist Laura Loomer, thanking his now-fiancée for “that one word: Yes.”
“This has really been the most unforgettable weekend of my life and I get to marry the love of my life, and I feel just like the luckiest girl in the world," Anderson said.
Trump and Anderson, a Palm Beach socialite, were first spotted kissing and holding hands in paparazzi photos shared by Page Six last December following speculation of a breakup with ex-fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle. Guilfoyle currently serves as an ambassador to Greece in President Trump's administration.
Don Jr. was previously married to Vanessa Trump, whom he shares five children with, from 2005 to 2018. Vanessa is currently dating 15-time major golf champion Tiger Woods, with the couple having announced their relationship publicly last year.
