The son of famed Iranian-American poet Roger Sedarat was reportedly arrested in connection to the ISIS-inspired terrorist plot busted by the FBI.

Milo Sedarat was reportedly arrested at his father's home in Montclair, New Jersey, on Wednesday (November 5), sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to the New York Post. Tomas Kaan Guzel, 19, was also reportedly arrested at Newark Liberty International Airport on Wednesday in connection to the incident, as both were taken into custody following a joint investigation by the New York Police Department's Intelligence Bureau and the FBI.

Sedarat and Guzel are accused of being involved in the plotting of the planned terrorist attack targeting LGBTQ-friendly bars set to take place in Michigan on Halloween weekend, which sources told the New York Post was inspired by the 2015 Paris ISIS attack. Guzel was arrested in a Terminal B food court where he was waiting for a flight to Turkey and eventually planned to reach Syria to train with ISIS, according to sources.

Guzel was reportedly planning to travel on November 17 but moved the flight date up after the FBI busted the terrorist plot in Detroit last week. Both Sedarat and Guzel are set to be charged at New Jersey federal court on Wednesday.

Two Michigan men, identified as Mohamed Ali and Majed Mahmoud, both 20, were previously charged with supplying weapons for the ISIS-inspired attack. Roger Sedarat is an award-winning poet, scholar and, literary translator, as well as a professor at Queens College in New York City.
