No Limit rapper Young Bleed has passed away after he was hospitalized due to a medical emergency a few weeks ago.

On Monday evening, November 3, the veteran rapper's son, Ty'Gee Ramon Clifton, announced that Young Bleed, born Glenn Clifton Jr., died following complications of a brain aneurysm. He was 51.

"Rip to the biggest legend I kno…. Young bleed!!!" Clifton wrote in his caption. "Love u Dad so much and will definitely miss u… but imma carry the torch from here I got u 💔💔💔 #youngbleed #mydad # #myfather @therealyoungbleed I’m glad he went out in style!!!! One time fa the one time🔥🔥🔥🔥

Ty'Gee, who's Young Bleed's eldest son, explained that his dad "gained his wings" on Saturday, just a week after he performed onstage at No Limit and Cash Money's Verzuz battle in Las Vegas. He said his dad never suffered from "real health issues" but did have high blood pressure and took medication for it. Tameka Long a.k.a. Madamm Meek, who's the mother of Young Bleed's 10-year-old son, told TMZ about the rapper's issues with high blood pressure as well as a heart condition.

Young Bleed was rushed to the hospital after he became sick following Verzuz. His doctors confirmed he suffered from a brain aneurysm caused by internal bleeding. He was placed on a ventilator and spent a week in the ICU before he passed. Long said Bleed's hospitalization was a shock to the family and set up a GoFundMe to help cover his medical expenses.

The longtime No Limit rapper was a pioneer of Baton Rouge's hip-hop scene. He first made waves with Master P after their song "How Ya Do Dat" was included on the soundtrack for P's 1997 film I'm Bout It. He released nine studio albums, including his debut LP My Balls and My Word.

Rest in peace, Young Bleed.
