Real Housewives of Potomac star Wendy Osefo is speaking out fo the first time since she and her husband, Eddie Osefo, were arrested earlier this month on fraud charges.
On Sunday (October 19), Osefo took to Instagram to express gratitude to her fans following her fraud arrest.
"And through it all, GOD remains faithful. Thank you for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers for myself and most importantly my family during this time. We are forever grateful," Osefo wrote.
The reality star concluded her post by encouraging her followers to tune in to the latest episode of RHOP.
The Osefos were arrested on October 9 in Maryland after being indicted by a grand jury on charges of false reporting, fraud, and making false statements to law enforcement, according to court records.
The charges reportedly stem from an incident on April 7, 2024, when the couple claimed that their home was burglarized while they were on vacation in Jamaica. According to the prosecution's bail recommendation, the couple reportedly told police that several designer bags and jewelry had been stolen. However, Carroll County sheriff's deputies allege that Wendy was later seen wearing a diamond ring she had reported stolen in a post on social media.
A search warrant was issued for the Osefos home, and both Wendy and Eddie were taken into custody. They were released the following day after posting bond.
Wendy, a political commentator and professor, joined RHOP in Season 5. She resigned from her faculty position at Wesleyan University last week after being booked on fraud charges.
