Nas and DJ PREMIER's long-awaited collaborative album finally has a target release date.

Over the weekend, Nas, Preemo, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, De La Soul, and Slick Rick celebrated the debut of Marvel and Mass Appeal's Legend Has It comic book series at ComicCon in New York City. During the event, Statik Selektah reportedly posted the "Legend Timeline" to his Instagram Stories, which shows the release dates of all the albums that are a part of Mass Appeal's Legend Has It album series. De La Soul's anticipated album is set to arrive in November, followed by Nas and DJ PREMIER's joint album, which is slated for December 2025. The exact date isn't listed, but it's the latest sign that the New York native's long-overdue collaborative effort will finally arrive this year. Their project has been a legend in Hip Hop history since they announced the plans for it in Scratch Magazine in 2006. The two have collaborated on several songs over the years, but they kept the project under wraps until the time was right.

Nas and DJ PREMIER finally teased their album's arrival last year when they dropped "Define My Name" in honor of Illmatic's 30th anniversary. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Nas confirmed that the album is complete and revealed it would feature music he and Preemo have worked on from the early 2000s to the present.

“I can’t wait for people to finally hear it," Nas said. "I don’t know about anybody else, but for me and him, it was personally a long time coming for us to do it.”

Look out for Nas & DJ PREMIER's joint album in December 2025.
