Marvin “Krondon” Jones III is the latest addition to the cast of the next installment of Marvel's Spider-Man franchise.

According to a report Deadline published on Tuesday, the rapper and actor has joined the cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day as the villain Lonnie Lincoln a.k.a "Tombstone." Jones previously portrayed the role in Sony's 2018 animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and will reprise the role in the upcoming Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. Tombstone is a brooding African-American albino with filed teeth known and nearly unbreakable skin. He's known as one of the grittiest crime bosses in the Spider-Verse, who has a major grudge against Spidey.

Jones got his start in the entertainment industry as a rapper known as Krondon who rapped with the underground rap group Strong Arm Steady. The trio, which consists of Krondon, Phil Da Agony, and Mitchy Slick, dropped three EPs, four albums, and a slew of mixtapes from 2003 to 2013. Krondon also dropped his own solo albums, including Everything's Nothing (2013) and Neighborhood Wonderful (2015) with Shafiq Husayn as the group White Boiz.

The seasoned rapper shifted his talents toward film in the 2010s. He became a season regular on The CW's "Black Lightning" and played guest roles in other series, "In The Dark," "Halo" and CBS' "The Equalizer" with Queen Latifah. Earlier this year, he starred in Shadow Force alongside Kerry Washington, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, and Method Man.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to drop on July 31, 2026. However, production is currently paused after the leasing man Tom Holland injured himself on set.
