Police investigating the death of Celeste Rivas were searching for any traces of blood inside the home where d4vd stayed.

According to a report TMZ published on Thursday, September 18, the Los Angeles Police Department's Scientific Investigation Division participated in the search of the house that d4vd's manager, Josh Marshall, is renting. The 20-year-old singer reportedly lived at the home in Hollywood Hills, and the Tesla where Rivas' dismembered body was discovered had been parked outside for days before it was towed. While they were on the scene, investigators used luminol to see if there were any signs of blood inside Marshall's home.

Luminol is used to find any trace of blood at a crime scene. Once it reacts with the iron in hemoglobin, the substance turns into a glowing blue light. The chemical was used on floors, surfaces, and even sink drains. As of this report, it's not clear whether or not investigators actually found blood in the house.

D4vd is cooperating with the police as they get closer to solving the murder of Celeste Rivas. The 15-year-old girl had been missing from her home in Lake Elsinore since April 2024 and, according to the girl's mom, had a boyfriend named David when she disappeared. The police, along with an array of Internet sleuths, have managed to establish connections between Rivas and the "Romantic Homicide" artist, born David Anthony Burke. They both have the same tattoo on their right index finger that says, "Shhh..." Several photos and videos of them together have also surfaced online. There's even a song that d4vd made called "Celeste," which leaked in 2023. In the song, d4vd mentions the girl's name twice.

In light of the ongoing investigation, d4vd's record label has pulled the plug on his world tour and halted the release of his Withered deluxe album that was scheduled to drop today. They've also pulled down the bloody button-down shirts the artist sold on his website as merch for the tour. As of this report, neither d4vd, his manager, nor his label has publicly commented on the situation.
