Basketball patriarch LaVar Ball was seen showing off his prosthetic leg about seven months after having his right leg amputated in a video shared by his 'Big Baller Brand' Instagram account Tuesday (September 17).

“Big Baller’s back, baby! Yes indeed,” Ball said while standing in front of a Rolls-Royce and Mercedes-Benz before endorsing Hanger Clinic, who performed the amputation.

Ball, 57, the father of NBA point guards Lonzo and LaMelo Ball and former G-League player turned rapper LiAngelo Ball, shared a second video of himself walking out of a clinic and getting into the passenger seat of an SUV.

“I didn’t think I was gonna be moving this fast,” he said.

LaVar, 57, initially underwent a procedure to have some toes, then his right foot and eventually his leg around the knee due, as well as blood transfusions, due to a diabetes-related infection. The basketball patriarch made headlines when his oldest son, Lonzo, was a standout at UCLA, predicting all three of his sons would be drafted into the NBA, while making several outlandish statements and promoting his 'Big Baller Brand' clothing line in 2017.

Ball has distanced himself from the spotlight in recent years, while Lonzo has been a dependable point guard when healthy, while LaMelo has emerged as one of the league's brightest stars, averaging 25.2 points, 7.4 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game during the 2024-25 NBA season.

Ball's middle son, LiAngelo, who, like his older and younger brothers played at UCLA, went undrafted in 2018 and played overseas and in the NBA G-League for several years before going viral with his song 'Tweaker,' earlier this year under the moniker GELO.
