Young Thug has finally opened up about a series of topics that have surrounded the superstar rapper, from the damning phone calls from his incarceration to the ongoing feud between him and Gunna.

On Saturday, September 6, Big Bank of The Big Facts Network released his exclusive interview with Thugger as part of his Perspektives series. During the three-hour conversation, the 34-year-old artist touched on everything from growing up in Atlanta with his brother Unfoonk to watching his other brother die in front of him. Later on in the conversation, Young Thug addressed the series of jail calls that have plagued the Internet and said he doesn't know who's leaking them.

“I don’t know,” Thug said. “I be looking at it like, some of the n—as that’s like, mad I’m pushing grown man business. I’m pushing that, ‘We ain’t telling nobody. We ain’t no rats, we ain’t doing that.’ It might be stemming from that.”

Thug has been haunted by conversations he had with his girlfriend, Mariah The Scientist, and other friends like 21 Savage while he was locked up during the YSL RICO case. Recordings of his phone calls from jail were posted to social media over the past few weeks, which caused mayhem among fans and critics alike. In one call, he admitted to cheating on Mariah just a day before he was arrested in May 2022. He also fired shots at Kendrick Lamar for not collaborating with him on his Business Is Business album, and gave Drake props for giving him a couple of verses for the project.

In addition to K.Dot, Thug also had some negative words to say about GloRilla, André 3000 and his current foe Gunna during the calls. Thug told Bank about how he connected with Gunna after their mutual friend King Troup died. He explained that he accepted Gunna and poured more time into his career than his own family. Despite all the snitching allegations and other fan-driven theories, Young Thug explained that he doesn't wish any ill will on Gunna, but he was extremely mad at him after he took an Alford plea in 2022.

“You gotta understand bro, I had him around me every day since 2015,” Thug said. “I had him around me every day. I made him a millionaire. I bought his first apartment that he lived in. I bought it with my money… I went half-and-half with you to buy your mama first house, get her out of the hood. I did that, me! I told you to go down to the country town and get your daddy. No matter what the differences is with your daddy. I told you that… I made you reunite with your family and do the right thing. I just poured my all into him. I gave this n—a more time than my children. I gave him more time than my kids… I poured my life into these people bro, every second.”

“I poured so much into the n***a, I can’t even hate him," he continued. "In jail, I thought I hated him when he took the pleas and s**t. I thought I hated that n***a. But my girl made me realize, ‘Boy, you don’t hate him. You just mad at him.’ I don’t wish no ill will on him. No ill feelings at all…I was just angry, but it seems like nobody is understanding why I’m angry.”

Young Thug was also asked if he would ever sit down and talk to Gunna to work out their differences. He immediately passed on that opportunity and said there's not much his former collaborator can do to fix things.

“What the f**k can he say?” Thug shouted. “‘Why you did that?’ What can he say? Besides some f**k n***a s**t. What can you say that’ll make anybody in the world be like, ‘I understand.’ What can you say?”
