The parents of seven-month-old Emmanuel Haro, who was reported missing from a Big 5 Sporting Goods parking lot in Yucaipa, California, have ceased cooperating with law enforcement. On Thursday (August 14), Rebecca Haro claimed she was changing her son's diaper when an unknown assailant attacked her, rendering her unconscious, and abducted Emmanuel. When she regained consciousness, she found her son missing and had a black eye.

However, inconsistencies in Rebecca Haro's account have raised suspicions. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department noted these discrepancies during their investigation, leading to her refusal to continue cooperating. The Uvalde Foundation for Kids, which had initially offered a $5,000 reward for information, has also withdrawn its support due to these inconsistencies and the parents' lack of cooperation.

Further complicating the case is the criminal history of Emmanuel's father, Jake Haro, who was convicted of felony willful child cruelty in June 2023. He is currently on probation and faces a hearing for a potential violation on September 2.

Despite the troubling signs, authorities have not ruled out any possibilities and continue to search for Emmanuel.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Specialized Investigations Division.
