Authorities are closer to finding out what led up to the murder of Project Pat's son.
According to a report TMZ published on Monday, July 21, investigators have gathered enough evidence to show that Pat's son, Patrick Houston, Jr., was killed in a targeted robbery gone wrong. The U.S. Marshals Service arrested an unnamed juvenile, who is the ex-girlfriend of their first suspect, Talia Jones. The USMS found digital evidence that the juvenile and Jones were in communication before and after Houston's death. They also believe the juvenile is the one who fired the deadly shots at Houston.
The 21-year-old son of the Three 6 Mafia rapper seemingly knew Jones before his death. Houston was found dead in a park in Imogene Heights, Tenn. The Memphis Police Department said the shooting happened near Charjean Park on January 10 at around 1:15 p.m. Six months later, the USMS confronted Jones after they learned that she fled to Minnesota after the shooting. The 19-year-old was reportedly apprehended by the USMS Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force, but "she did not go into custody quietly."
Jones was charged with Facilitation of First-Degree Murder. She's still in custody and will be extradited to Tennessee to face her charge. As of this report, it's not clear exactly what the juvenile has been charged with.
Project Pat hasn't spoken publicly about his son's death. He's still grieving, but has been focused on giving back to the community by visiting prisons and helping them find God.
