It looks like Ye didn't change his name for a second time after all.

Last week, Page Six reported that the artist formerly known as Kanye West changed his name again from "Ye" to "Ye Ye." The assumption was made after the outlet obtained business documents filed by Ye's chief financial officer, Hussain Lalani, that listed the Chicago rapper's name as "Ye Ye." The new name was included as the “manager or member name” of Ye's businesses, including Yeezy Record Label, LLC and Yeezy Apparel. However, according to a statement his reps provided to Page Six on Tuesday, June 17, "there is no 'Ye Ye'."

Ye's reps claim the name was listed on the documents in question due to “an oddity created by an online form that required something in both first name and last name fields." The report about West's name surfaced weeks after he announced his plans to ditch his longtime X account. He told his 33 million followers that he plans to make a new account with his legal name.

The VULTURES rapper changed his name for the first time in 2018 when he released his album Ye. He spent several months recording the album at his ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He formally embraced his new name when he filed to legally change it to "Ye West" three years later. It took a judge two months to approve his request. Since then, Ye has constantly demanded that people refer to him by his real name.
