General Mills recently discontinued three fan favorite Cheerios flavors -- Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Oat Crunch, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios 'Minis,' according to Instagram user @the_cerealqueen.

"[These flavors] are leaving the family of Cheerios! In other words they are discontinued as of recently," the caption of the Instagram post showing boxes of the three Cheerios flavors states.

"Grab these while you can, because what’s on shelves is what’s left," the caption added. "Will you be missing any of these?"

Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Crunch and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheerios were introduced in 2013 and 2017, respectively, while Honey Nut Cheerios Minis -- a smaller version of the alternative oat cereal that debuted in 1979 -- had only been sold for the last two years.

Several Cheerios fans voiced their displeasure on the r/cereal subreddit.

“I don’t think I’ve actually seen Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Crunch for over a year. But losing Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheerios is a bigger shock—I didn’t buy it as often as I should have,” one user posted.

“Why tf would they cancel chocolate peanut butter?!” another user wrote.

“RIP Medley Crunch,” another commenter wrote.

Data shared by CivicScience polling showed that 12% of Americans eat cereal daily, while 18% eat a bowl three or four times weekly and 23% consume it once or twice during a week. The amount of sugar in many cereals, however, increased by 11% and one bowl exceeds 45% of the American Heart Association's daily recommended limit for children, according to a new study published by JAMA Network.
