Lil Wayne brought out one of the greatest MCs to come out of New York City during his historic concert at Madison Square Garden.

On Friday, June 6, Weezy F. Baby celebrated the release of his new album Tha Carter VI during his first-ever headlining performance at MSG. Wayne opened the show with the first two songs off the album, "King Carter" and "Welcome To The Carter," followed by some of his past hits like "John," Hustler Muzik," "Money On My Mind" and more. After performing a mixture of new and old songs, Wayne brought out his surprise guest LL COOL J to perform "Bells."

“I pay homage n***a love you bro," Wayne told LL while on stage.

This is the first time Lil Wayne and LL COOL J have joined forces for a rare performance. Weezy samples LL's 1985 classic "Rock The Bells" on track no. 3 from Tha Carter VI. The Queens native wasn't the only special guest to make an appearance during Wayne's show. Cory Gunz also made a cameo to perform his verse from "6 Foot 7 Foot."

Lil Wayne's show at Madison Square Garden was a preview of what to expect for his upcoming tour. "Tha Carter VI Tour" is expected to be a celebration of Weezy's 20+ years of classics from Tha Carter series. Wayne will bring special guests Tyga, NoCap and Belly Gang Kushington with him to various cities around the U.S. and Canada beginning in Bristow, Va., on July 30. Weezy will close out the tour in West Palm Beach on October 2.
