A 6.4-magnitude earthquake was reported in Tonga on Wednesday (May 14), according to the United States Geological Survey.

The earthquake was centered in Neiafu at a depth of 243.1 kilometers (about 151 miles). The USGS said it received zero reports of people having felt the earthquake at the time of publication.

The Tonga earthquake was reported days after a 5.6-magnitude earthquake was reported in China on Sunday (May 11), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered in Rikaze at a depth of 10 kilometers (about 6.2 miles).

The China earthquake was reported hours after a 4.1-magnitude earthquake was reported in Tennessee on Saturday (May 10), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered in Greenback at a depth of 24.9 kilometers (about 15.5 miles).

The Tennessee earthquake was reported one day after a 4.2-magnitude earthquake was reported in Alaska last Friday (May 9), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered in Perryville at a depth of 11.7 kilometers (about 7.3 miles).

The Alaska earthquake was reported hours after a 3.9-magnitude earthquake was reported in California last Wednesday (May 7), according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered in Petrolia at a depth of 10 kilometers (about 6.2 miles).

The California earthquake was reported hours after a 3.8-magnitude earthquake was reported in Alaska on May 6, according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered in Hope at a depth of 42.8 kilometers (about 27 miles).
