YG Arrested After His Home Is Raided By Police

YG is currently in police custody.

According to TMZ, cops showed up on the "My Last Words" rapper's doorstep before sunrise on Friday (January 24) armed with a search warrant and an arrest warrant related to a robbery case.

Law enforcement sources told the outlet, officers arrested YG after they searched his San Fernando Valley home around 4 a.m. He's reportedly being transported to jail and will be booked for robbery shortly.

As fans know, YG's SUV was recently linked to a murder investigation. The 29-year-old rapper's Escalade was involved in a high-speed chase through Los Angeles, which ended with someone in the vehicle shooting and killing a 65-year-old man on a bicycle, back in July, TMZ previously reported.

YG told the outlet at the time, "I was nowhere near the scene of this incident and had been in a recording studio all day in Hollywood. I was there until after midnight on the Fourth of July and didn't learn of these events until after they happened."

It's unclear if the Friday morning raid is related to that case.

Story developing.
