50 Cent is taking legal action against the mother of his son for spreading false stories about him.

According to a report TMZ published on Tuesday, May 7, lawyers for the multifaceted artist and filmmaker filed a defamation lawsuit against Daphne Joy after she publicly accused their client of rape and physical abuse. Joy made the allegations in a lengthy Instagram post, which has garnered well over 22,000 likes since she posted it back in March. Fif claims Joy made the post after she found out that he was seeking sole custody of their son Sire.

"Despite being given ample opportunity to retract a false and malicious retaliatory accusation, Ms. Narvaez has shamefully chosen to interfere with her 11-year-old son’s relationship with his loving father by falsely calling him a 'rapist,'" attorneys Reena Jain and Blank Rome told the outlet. "The motivation behind this appears to be Ms. Narvaez’s unfortunate entanglement and misguided loyalty to Mr. Combs, who we believe to be underwriting this attack and whom Mr. Jackson has been warning Ms. Narvaez and others about for many years."

The post is still visible on her timeline as of presstime. 50 Cent asserted that he made the decision to request full custody of their son after Joy was accused of being a "sex worker" for Diddy in Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones' sexual assault lawsuit. He claims she made the allegations in retaliation of his decision.

According to the lawsuit, 50 Cent's lawyers sent a letter to Joy on April 2 and requested for her to remove the post. However, she declined and made her own demands. She said she would remove the post if Fif dropped the child custody case and gave her millions of dollars. 50 Cent said her counter offer was "clearly extortive."

50 Cent believes Joy's post purposely tarnished his business reputation and child custody case. He's suing her for $1 million and a court order that would require her to take down the post and stop making defamatory statements about him. So far, Joy has not publicly reacted to the update.
