Monday December 12, Jay and ‘Ye stopped by the Staples Center for their second show in Los Angeles. Not only were we the Livest Crowd on the Watch the Throne tour, but according to Shawn Carter, our city broke the record for most times N*ggas in Paris was played. *drum roll please* 9 times!!!

Yeah, I was over it by like the 3rd time – but I couldn’t even be mad. The energy in that building was ridic!!

At the end, Mr. West apologizes for first-time-concert-goers in the crowd. “It’s all down hill from here.” Ha! Watch the vid HERE.

Kanye West jumped on Twitter yesterday to give us backstage access to his Watch the Throne tour with Jay-Z. This isn’t just a behind the scenes look though, its a daily video document of all of the actual hard work that goes into living life at Kanye’s level. In it he imagines about what his funeral would be like:

“I was just thinking about my funeral a couple days ago. I was thinking, who would be at the funeral? I wanna have like world leaders that were affected, that said ‘Kanye gave me my shot or he pushed me or he told me to believe in myself.’ I wanna affect people like that when I pass away.”

I’m still bugging out. How is that even possible?! According to Billboard:

“Carter” has sold over 300,000 downloads via iTunes in only its first four days of release, according to Cash Money/Universal Republic Records. That outpaces the 290,000 that “Throne” moved through iTunes in its entire first week.

“Carter’s” achievement is all the more impressive because it’s available through all digital and physical retailers, not just iTunes. Comparatively, “Throne” was sold exclusively through iTunes for its first four days of release.

Further, “Carter IV” is on its way to an overall first-week start of more than 850,000 copies — digital and physical sales combined – according to industry prognosticators.

Goodness gracious. I would have given my left pinky to be at this Watch the Throne listening party! Beyonce, Solange, Kelly Rowland, Q-Tip, Busta Rhymes, Jada Pinkett Smith were all amongst the star studded invitees. Jay and ‘Ye played their whole album and you wouldn’t believe who is on it!

Woo hoo! ‘Ye told us earlier this year that he’d be dropping an EP album with JayZ, titled Watch the Throne . He told MTV:

“We putting out a whole album now. We had done five [songs] so far, and then a few of ‘em, kind of, were out there, and I put them on my album. Sorry Jay. But we got some more, and we going to the south of France at the end of this month just to record new ideas.”

Which means, the EP will now be a FULL LENGTH album and will be released on December 7th. Kanye’s solo album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy drops just a couple weeks before that. Sheesh! Aint no competition better than yourself.
