Best albums of the year according to Time and Rolling Stone

Posted by Nicky on December 8, 2011 »

Ladies and Gentlejerks, it’s about that time. No, I’m not talking about laying cookies out for the chubby man – I’m talking about when Time and Rolling Stone make their fancy reputable list for best albums of the year. Adele appropriately made both lists. After all, her album is STILL on Billboard’s Hot 100 list and hasn’t left the top 10 list since it dropped in January. She’s currently living comfortably at the #2 spot – about to go 5x platinum. Right above Bieber’s Under The Mistletoe and Drake’s Take Care album. Oh yeah, WTT and Frank Ocean’s Nostalgia, Ultra are also on the list.

See HERE for the full list.

Lady Gaga x machine guns x booty cheeks

Posted by Nicky on June 21, 2010 »

Here goes Lady Gaga on the cover of Rolling Stones magazine looking cold as ice! Hanging out in her panties and rocking two big machine guns in place of her bra.
She told the magazine:

When I wake up in the morning, I feel just like any other insecure 24-year-old girl. Then I say, ‘B*tch, you’re Lady Gaga, you get up and and walk the walk today.’

Ha! I love it.

Jay-Z: “It’s not like he’s competing on the same level” – who’s he talking about?

Posted by Nicky on June 15, 2010 »

In an interview with Rolling Stones magazine, JayZ took baby shots to LL Cool J saying that competing at his level and his age is “rarified air”.

“We’ve seen people like LL Cool J have longevity and we respect the heritage of what he’s done but it’s not like right now he’s competing on the same level as Lil’ Wayne so for me to still be able to compete at that level at my age, that’s rarefied air, it’s never been done.”

But Jay-Z knows his lane and stay relevant with trying to make “young songs”.

“I think the problem with people, as they start to mature, they say, ‘Rap is a young man’s game,’ and they keep trying to make young songs. But you don’t know the slang — it changes every day. You can visit the topic, but these young kids live it every day, and you’re just visiting. So you’re trying to be something you’re not, and the audience doesn’t buy into that. And people wonder why [they're not selling]. ‘I made a great Southern bounce song!’ You’re from New York, and you’re 70! Why are you bouncing?”

I wonder if Jay would still rap at 70?
“THROW YOUR *cough cough* DIAMONDS IN THE *cough cough* AIR!! *weez*”
